Commuter Subsidy Distribution

11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Commuter Subsidy is distributed in the Commuter Services office during the first four weekdays of the month from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  To receive the Commuter Subsidy, employees must ride transit to and from Oakland Medical Center at least three days a week.

February 1, 2, 3, 6, 2017 (Clipper card Account History required from December and January)

April 3, 4, 5, 6, 2017 (Clipper card Account History required from February and March)

June 1, 2, 5, 6, 2017 (Clipper card Account History required from April and May)

August 1, 2, 3, 4, 2017 (Clipper card Account History required from June and July)

October 2, 3, 4, 5, 2017 (Clipper card Account History required from August and September)

*Registration form and manager verification email are due November 9, 2017. Only employees who have re-registered by *November 9, 2017 will receive the subsidy in December 2017. Original paperwork required. No scans accepted. 
*Employees who are new to the program can register at any time.

To receive the Commuter Subsidy:

  • Employees are required to load the subsidy on their Clipper card. Employees should use the subsidy money to pay for trips on transit agencies that participate in Clipper card.
  • Employees will be audited and must supply a print-out of their Clipper card Account History for the previous two months (60 days), as proof of their transit use. Employees need to show at least three trips to and from work on transit during each week to qualify to receive the subsidy. Employees should draw a line between each week on their Account History and should count weekly trips.
  • Only employees who can show proof of round-trip transit use at least three days a week on their Clipper card Account History will receive the subsidy.
  • Employees who work fewer than six weeks at OMC during the two-month subsidy benefit period are not eligible to receive the full subsidy, but can ask to receive a partial subsidy.
